He holds a medical degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo, a Master's degree in Neurology from the University of São Paulo (1980), and a Ph.D. in Neurology from the University of São Paulo (1988). He is currently the chief physician of the neurological clinic - Brotherhood of Santa Casa de Misericórdia of São Paulo and professor of Neurology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. Former president of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology 2014-2016) and current president of the Paulista Association of Neurology; former president of the Brazilian Society of Cerebrovascular Diseases. He has experience in Medicine, with an emphasis on Neurology, acting mainly on the following subjects: stroke, cerebrovascular disease, carotid arteries, carotid atherosclerosis, and diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of stroke.

Atherothrombosis in cerebrovascular diseases; carotid disease; infection and stroke (Stroke); inflammation and stroke; and prevention and treatment of stroke.

Dr. Elena Frid is a Board Certified Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist, widely regarded as an investigating diagnostician, adviser, and treatment strategist specializing in Infections Induced Autoimmune Disorders. With clinical interests in Autoimmune Neurology, she often sees patients (children and adults) with complex cases of Lyme disease and co-infections resulting in multiple neurological complaints. Her many areas of expertise are General Neurology, Headaches & Migraines, as well as a sub-clinical focus on Autoimmune Neurology, Neuropsychiatric, and Neurodegenerative Disorders. Using cutting-edge diagnostic tools and clinical expertise she can help differentiate between idiopathic vs organic causes of various neurological disorders. Her knowledge has been sought by patients from all over the United States, as well as Canada and Europe. Dr. Frid attended a coveted BA/MD program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) and went on to North Shore-LIJ Health Care Systems (currently Northwell) where she completed a residency in Neurology and a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (EMG / EEG). Dr. Frid is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). She is a voting member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), a Medical Adviser to the Project Lyme organization, a Vice President of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Alumni Association, and a member of the Independent Physicians of New York (IDNY). Upon request from families, Dr. Frid frequently collaborates on complex pediatric cases of Neuro Lyme disease with Dr. Charles Ray Jones, a world-leading pediatric Lyme disease specialist with over 40-year career experience in dealing with children with Lyme disease and other Tick Borne Illnesses.

Lyme Disease

Dr. András Folyovich was born in 1954 in Budapest. In Budapest, at the Fazekas Mihály Practice Elementary School and Grammar School, he got his BA in 1973 with excellent results. In that year, they were admitted to the Faculty of Medicine of Semmelweis Medical University. In 1979, he received a degree "Summa cum laude". After graduation, he became a scholar at the Semmelweis OTE Neurology Clinic. In 1983, he was a specialist in neuroscience and psychology 1993, and he has been a licensed examiner of vascular neurology in 2015. In 1983 he was awarded a university professorship and appointed as an assistant professor in 1993, and from 1991 he works as head of the department. Since August 1, 2001 - nowadays – he is currently leading the Stroke Center and the Neurological Care Department of the St. John Hospital and the North Hague Hospital of Neurology. His interest is mainly directed to cerebrovascular diseases, my class works as a stroke center for thrombolysis in emergency neurological care. Since 1979 he has been engaged in graduate and postgraduate medical training. For eight years he was a member of the Council of the Soviet Union and attended several academic committees. In 1999 he received the title of Excellent Teacher at Semmelweis Medical University. During his research, he studied the relationship between stroke and immunology, among others the pathological factors of juvenile stroke, stroke epidemiology, its human-meteorological and socio-cultural aspects, stroke, and immunology. He still looks at it. In the last two cycles, he was appointed to the Neurology Professional College. He is the Vice-President of the Supervisory Board of the St. John Hospital, and a member of the Scientific Board of the Hospital, the Scientific Committee. He leads the Institute's specialist training team. Dr. András Folyovich is a member of several medical societies, the secretary of the Clinical Neuroscience Society Béla Horányi, and the Lipcsey Attila Clinical Neuroscience Foundation. He is on the editorial board of the Journal of Neuroscience, the Hungarian Family Practitioners' Journal. He acts as a medical-professional leader of the National Stroke Prevention and Rehabilitation League. He was elected as a national and Budapest delegate of the Hungarian Medical Chamber.

Dr.Jera KRUJA is a Member of Scientific Committee at European Academy of Neurology and Professor of Neurology at Mother Theresa University Hospital Center. Since 2014 she is (European representative) at Teaching Course Committee, World Federation of Neurology. During 2013-2014 she is a Rector of University of Medicine, Tirana and Member of editing board of OA Publishing London, WebMed Central Brain Editor, Albanian Medical Journal, Bulletin of Medical Sciences, University of Medicine, Tirana. She worked at Health National Contact Point, European Commission, CORDIS Fp7 programme(2010-2013). From 2003, she is a reviewer of European Journal of Neurology, Clinical Epidemiology, Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment, Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, Journal of Pediatric Epilepsy. She is a Trainer of European Academy of Epilepsy since February 2003. She is the President of Albanian Society of Neurology (ASN) during 1998-2007.
